Kelso consists of a small group of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in leveraged buyouts, private equity investing, mergers and acquisitions and the related areas of corporate finance, institutional lending and investing, accounting, law, and management consulting.

The eleven principals have been with Kelso for an average of 18 years and are the largest investor in the Firm's private equity funds.

Each transaction is staffed by a team of professionals who are responsible for and have a direct interest in its successful completion. This team includes at least one principal who maintains day-to-day involvement in the transaction. The original team will follow an investment during its time with the Firm. Kelso's relatively small size ensures that all of its resources can be brought to bear quickly and decisively on major matters affecting a transaction or portfolio company.
